Fitness

One of my goals for this year is to be better and healthier. I want more defined abs, a flatter stomach, stronger hipbones. I want a body image to be proud of and I’m determined to make it happen. Here’s my log page. Edit: My DS tracks steps! I’m gonna use it! The steps counted are steps recorded in a single session not through-out the day.

  1. Congrats Keith on setting these fitness goals. Our scars tell part of the story of our life journey and it can be a big challenge to come to “own” rather than be ashamed of who we are. Showing and telling my story on a blog has been a big help for me, as have been my fitness programs. The former helps me to meet myself as others do instead of becoming constantly caught up in my own torture chamber. The fitness goals and achievements have helped to build my sense of confidence and pride, in part as I’ve had to strip down and mix with others – something I used to avoid with great fear and self-loathing.

      Thanks for replying, Mr. Vanderbom;

      Scars do tell a large part of a story, they do indeed. I met someone recently whom rather likes my scar because it represents a hardship I have gone through which actually made me quite happy. I can’t thank him enough for saying that to me.

      I really want to try to increase my health. My health is still in a low area, and the primary concern of my health is everything I do I need to keep my insurance because of surgeries cost a fortune, a very large fortune.

      These achievements, as you stated, I am hoping they could build my sense of confidence and pride and make me even happier about my own body which I need to learn to deal with regardless as it cannot be changed. But, I can make it healthier. I live in a place right now with some of the worst air quality in the world. I want out of here, one day to live somewhere healthier, but my entire support network is here.

      I should look into a fitness program, thanks! And you are correct, it is a big challenge to “own”.
